From an early stage, he has combined his legal practice with a political struggle for the dignity and emancipation of his country.<\/p>      <p class=\"pull\">\u00abKnowing your history is the first step toward liberation.\u00bb<\/p>          <h2><span class=\"n\">02<\/span>The Historian of Martinique<\/h2>\n      <p>Darsi\u00e8res is also a <strong>historian<\/strong> meticulous. He has written reference works on the history of Martinique, particularly on the figure of <strong>Cyrille Bissette<\/strong> and the origins of the Martinican nation. His archival research and analysis have inspired an entire generation in its quest for identity.<\/p>                <h2><span class=\"n\">03<\/span>C\u00e9saire's Companion<\/h2>\n      <p>A pillar of the <strong>Martinique Progressive Party<\/strong>, who held leadership positions in the movement for many years, was one of the closest companions of'<strong>Aim\u00e9 C\u00e9saire<\/strong> and served as <strong>member of the House of Representatives<\/strong> from Martinique.
