The ADEME Regional Office in Martinique is launching a survey focused on the opportunities and limitations of reusing construction products and materials in the region. AGYRE and POCITRON have been commissioned to conduct this study and gather feedback from the relevant stakeholders.
The questionnaire is intended to provide an overview of current practices, identify barriers and drivers for the development of reuse, and estimate potential sources of reuse over the next three years.
To Assess the Current State of Reuse in Martinique
The survey is intended, first and foremost, to provide a better understanding of the current role of reuse in the construction sector in Martinique.
The responses collected will be used to identify practices already in place in the region and to highlight the main challenges faced by stakeholders. The study also seeks to identify factors that could facilitate the development of these initiatives.
This assessment is intended to provide ADEME with a more accurate picture of local conditions. The results can then help to better organize the sector and tailor the support offered to professionals.
Potential deposits evaluated over a 3-year period
One of the main objectives of the questionnaire is to estimate the supply of construction products and materials that may be available for reuse over the next three years.
This projection is intended to help assess the sector’s development potential in the medium term. It will provide a better understanding of the resources that could be returned to circulation and the conditions necessary for their utilization within the region.
The reliability of this estimate will depend directly on the number and diversity of the responses received. AGYRE and POCITRON are therefore seeking to widely engage stakeholders in the building and construction sectors in Martinique.
A study commissioned from AGYRE and POCITRON
Founded in 2020, AGYRE is a consulting firm specializing in the circular economy as applied to the construction sector. Its services include project management support, the development of circular economy strategies, PEMD assessments, feasibility studies, construction site supervision, and training.
Based at the Martinique Technopole, POCITRON supports businesses and local governments in the French West Indies and French Guiana in their efforts toward decarbonization and energy efficiency. The organization specializes in carbon assessments, decarbonization strategies, energy audits, and awareness-raising initiatives.
Both organizations were tasked by ADEME Martinique with conducting the study and analyzing the responses collected.
Participation requires between 5 and 10 minutes. Responses will remain strictly confidential, and the data will be processed in aggregate form to preserve the anonymity of the participants.
Stakeholders have until August 15, 2026, to contribute to this study.
