As part of its commitment to promotingTo promote regional development and improve the living conditions of employees and tenants, the Action Logement group has provided financial support for 13 innovative projects in Martinique. With a budget of 4.5 million euros allocated in the form of grants and loans, this initiative marks an important step in supporting local project leaders. At a meeting held on Friday, May 3, attended by the Director for Overseas Territories, Mr. Ibrahima Dia, and Alain Coridon, President of Action Logement Martinique, the project leaders presented their promising initiatives that address social, economic, digital, and environmental issues.
Project Presentations and Progress Reports
The completed projects are:
- The Construction Industry Lab (LAKOUDIGITAL) : A training hub focused on the digital transformation of practices in the construction industry, aimed at integrating the latest technologies to create a more efficient and sustainable industry.
- BATISOLID (CERC Martinique) : This project aims to improve construction techniques and adapt standards to reduce the incidence of building damage, particularly in earthquake-prone areas.
- Ecological Water Management (OZANAM) : Implementation of an innovative wastewater treatment system for more environmentally friendly management in local residential communities.
Current projects include a variety of initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for seniors, and other projects—such as Emerwall, which recycles bagasse into insulation panels—demonstrate how innovation can directly contribute to environmental sustainability and energy efficiency in construction.

Interviews and Perspectives
Discussions with Alain Coridon and Sandra Mirailh highlighted the foundations and prospects of the projects supported by Action Logement. Coridon emphasized the role of grants as the primary financial lever for less affluent project leaders, while Mirailh, Overseas Project Director, explained how these projects address major challenges such as housing, employment, and social cohesion, while fostering local momentum through partnerships with national and regional authorities. She also expressed her satisfaction with the quality of the selected projects.

A Sustainable Program
Recognizing the importance of this support, Action Logement officials have announced their intention to make this program a permanent feature, not only in the overseas territories but also nationwide. However, stricter criteria—particularly environmental ones—will be applied in future rounds of the program.
