CTM: Full mobilization of services for invoice processing and settlement

As a result of the cyberattack it has been suffering since May 16, 2023, the Territorial Collectivity of Martinique is facing a significant delay in the processing, verification, certification, and payment of invoices from its service providers. In fact, for three months, all operations had to be carried out manually.

Aware of the significant impact of these delays on nonprofit organizations and on the Martinican economy—which consists mainly of small businesses— Serge LETCHIMY, President of the Executive Council, has taken the drastic decision to ask all management staff of the Collectivité to work at 100% for a period of one month beginning Tuesday, September 26, to address the issue of clearing the backlog of invoices.

« This is not about bringing the Collectivité to a standstill—quite the contrary. Day-to-day operations will continue as usual, aid and benefits will be paid out, and public services will be provided as usual. What is changing is that, for one month, the management staff responsible for financial matters within each department will be fully dedicated to the inventory, verification, certification, and payment of received and unpaid invoices. Priority will be assigned based on the age of the invoices and their urgency. This is a difficult decision, but it is the price we must pay to catch up. and will address the urgency of the situation », said Serge LETCHIMY during a special internal meeting.

The Collectivité’s service centers will be open and operational to welcome visitors and provide information during their regular hours. The operational teams remain fully committed to providing daily public services to the people of Martinique.
