Following its General Meeting on March 30, Crédit Agricole Martinique-Guyane announced the election of Carole Foulard as chair of its regional bank. She succeeds Alex Rosette, whose term is ending after eight years marked by the bank’s expansion in the territories.
This election is in line with Crédit Agricole’s democratic and statutory procedures. Following the renewal of the governing bodies, Carole Foulard was elected by the members of the Board of Directors, in accordance with the Regional Bank’s bylaws. She thus takes over from a leadership team that has contributed to the bank’s growth and influence in the region, working closely with Chief Executive Officer Thibault Reverse.
As the first woman to serve as president of an overseas regional bank within the Crédit Agricole Group, this election also marks a significant milestone in terms of representation and commitment.
A long-time advocate of Crédit Agricole, where she has been a customer for more than 35 years, Carole Foulard has in-depth knowledge of how the bank operates and its business environment. As an entrepreneur, she is directly confronted with the challenges faced by local businesses: financing, project support, business development, and adapting to economic changes. Her more than ten years of involvement in mutual governance as a director of a local credit union now enable her to approach this role with a vision that is both strategic and operational.
«Being president of Crédit Agricole Martinique-Guyane means, above all, serving our regions, our customers, and our members. This commitment will guide my work,» she said. During this new term, governance will be based on a collaborative approach.
